Second Day in Vegas Entry
06-02-2003, 9:00 p.m.

Our second day in Vegas was as wonderful as the first. We got up early and went down to the casino to play. In fact, we found that we had the most fun (read luck) in the casino's during the morning hours, and it was so not crowded or smokey which was a total plus. We often got up early and headed down while we let my dad sleep, hehe. We played for a couple of hours, and then decided to find someplace to have breakfast. This became our routine, and it worked well.

After breakfast, I ran up to see if my dad was up, and he was. So we all decided to go out for a while, and check out some of the other hotels. We walked across the bridge that connects the New York New York to the MGM Grand, and hung around there for a little while. The MGM is absolutely spectacular, and there is so much to see, including the lion exhibit which was totally cool. After a while though my dad was getting hungry, and since we wanted to go to the Aladdin to eat, we decided to head over. The reason we wanted to go to the Aladdin was because they have a PF Changs, hehe. Cory and I had gotten Tonya a gift card there as part of her birthday present, and she was dying to go there. We all were. It was a bit of a walk to the Aladdin and it was pretty hot (over 100 degrees), so by the time we got there, we were ready to be there. We checked out the Desert Passage (their shopping mall) just a little bit before we went looking for the PF Changs. We were not disappointed!! As usual, the food was totally wonderful, from the lettuce wraps to the entrees that we picked. We each picked something different and then we all shared which made from some wonderful food. The view was awesome too, as they put us upstairs right in front of a window facing the strip. It was so beautiful, and I think we all enjoyed our time there very much.

After lunch, we decided to stay and play at the Aladdin for a while, which was fun. Then we headed back to the NYNY, stopping on the way at the M&M Factory, and again at the MGM Grand. Eventually we got back to our room, and all took showers to get ready for the evening. My uncle and cousin had called and left several messages, so we called them back, and made plans to get together for dinner that night. My cousin, Brian's birthday was a couple days before, and we were also celebrating Tonya's, so my parents wanted to take everyone out for a really nice dinner, and boy did they ever. They ended up taking us to Gallaghers which is an awesome steak house. I've come to the conclusion that if you have to ask how much something costs, it usually means A LOT, hehe. They had the best steaks ever (Tonya finished off a pretty big one too, my dad was so surprised, wondering where the heck she put it, hehe), but I have some of the freshest salmon that I've ever had in my whole life. It was totally awesome, the whole dinner, and the company. I really enjoyed spending time with my cousin, since I don't get to see him so often, and it was nice seeing my dad so happy to spend time with his brother too.

Unfortunately, Tonny and I had to scarf our 40 dollar entrees down, as we had tickets to go see Boo which is a late night improv, comedy show. It was kinda funny, and kinda strange, but whatever it was, I did enjoy it. My mom and dad had passed on it because they wanted to spend time with Bill, so we were on our own, and we had awesome seats in the first row. It was cool, and we had a great time. Afterwards, we played for a while, before we headed up to bed, and to tell my parents all about the show. I think that I fell asleep though, the minute my head hit the pillow. I tell you, I didn't have any trouble falling asleep this whole trip, but then, we weren't going to bed until the wee hours of the morning, and then getting up pretty early, so it was no wonder. We didn't want to waste any time sleeping, and believe me, we didn't.
